Limited companies must give a Companies House number for a company that is active. Sole traders can list too, but can have at most 200 units out with students at once until they have 4 weeks of paid bills. You must save a card before your first offer goes live.
Stock you hand to students remains your property until sold. Students must return unsold stock within 48 hours. You count it back in the app.
For stock worth £40 or more, the student's card is held for its value. Missing stock beyond the loss allowance is charged to the student and paid to you; stock not returned 6 days after it was due is charged in full.
If your count differs from the student's, both of you get 24 hours to re-count and upload a photo. Matching counts settle. Otherwise your count applies when only you sent a photo, the student's when only they did, and otherwise we split the difference. Gaps worth more than £30 go to a person at Campus Cut.
You pay the seller's cut for every confirmed sale or new customer, plus the Campus Cut fee (5% of the sale price, or 10% of the cut where there's no sale price). Nothing is charged upfront.
Each Monday we charge your saved card for the previous week. If it fails we retry after 2 and 4 days. After 7 days unpaid, your offers are paused and stock collections stop until you pay; they restart automatically when you do.
Students rate you after each settled handover. If your average falls below 3 after at least 5 ratings, you're hidden from new students until we review it. Reports of unsafe behaviour pause your offers straight away while a person reviews it.
Campus Cut does not allow alcohol, tobacco, vapes or other age-restricted products. Drinks must be 0.5% ABV or less. You must declare every listing alcohol-free and not age-restricted; all new listings and edits are checked. Reports may pause offers, and two confirmed prohibited-product reports suspend your business.
